IJMB stands for Interim Joint Matriculation Board, a 9-month to 1-year Advanced Level (A’level) program in Nigeria. It is moderated by Ahmadu Bello University and designed to help students secure direct entry admission into 200 level at various Nigerian universities without needing a JAMB/UTME result

IJMB result does not expire unlike your JAMB that is only for a year.
You will have higher CGP in your university as your GP is going to be divided by 3 years not four years like others who used JAMB.
You have more advantages of being admitted unlike those used JAMB since students with A level Result(IJMB Result) are fewer in ratio.
How to Qualify and Register for IJMB
To enroll in the Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) program, you only need to provide your O’level result. Even if your result is not yet complete or you are still waiting for it to be released, you can still begin the registration process.

Yes. Some students still write UTME while doing IJMB to increase their chances of admission.
Can I study Medicine or Engineering with IJMB?
Yes, as long as you select the correct subjects and meet the required points for the course.
When are IJMB exams conducted?
The final IJMB examinations are usually conducted towards the end of the academic session.

Is the result only valid for the centre where I completed the program?
No. Your result is not restricted to the centre where you completed the program. You are free to use it to apply for admission to any university of your choice. For example, you may complete the program in Calabar and use the result to apply to the University of Ibadan, or finish at the Ekiti centre and use it to gain admission into the University of Abuja (UniAbuja).
